Celebration for Training Participants in Irente, Tanzania

From 9th to 21st of April 2018, the third training phase of the training course on early childcare and speech language development by the German-Tanzanian project team from Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) and Sebastian Kolowa Memorial University (SEKOMU) within the project "Preventive Community Based work in Early Education and Communication Development in Irente, Tanzania“ (project management: Prof. Dr. Ulrike Lüdtke), funded by the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Equality of Lower Saxony, Germany, took place at Irente Children’s Home, Tanzania.

Farewell To Mama Ruben at Tumaini Restaurant

It was a sad day for the North Eastern Diocese to say goodbye to Mama Ruben on 5th April 2018 at Tumaini Restaurant. The event was attended by Rev. Dr Eberhardt Ngugi (Principal Dean-NED) who was the guest of honor, Sr Enna Mdemu(Head of the Irente Children's Home) and the head office staff members.

Launching Biogas Project at Irente-School for the Blind

The building of the Biogas digester system started on 25 October 2017 This project is a support from the CCT congregation choir of the University of Dar es Salaam. The launching of this project was attended by Dr. Msuya and Dr. Tarimo who were representatives of the CCT congregation chaplaincy and choir.
Rev. Joyce Kibanga Director of Social Services in NED was the guest of honor to this special event. Staff members, pupils and the chairperson of the school committee were also present.
